Tiffin University's Athletic Strength and Conditioning Supervisor :
Brent Rosselit
Born in Ottawa, Oh I am the oldest of 9 children. After excelling in sports in High school I went on to play soccer and basketball at the colligate level. Upon graduation from Tiffin University in 2007 with a management degree I still had no idea what path I wanted to start taking in life so I decided to obtain my personal training certification. After a few weeks of looking at the different organizations I landed on the National Academy of Sports Medicine as it was highly touted by many companies and the hire rate was greatly higher than others. As soon as I got my certification I started working at Bodyworks Fitness in Tiffin and stayed there for 5 years training various types of clients ranging in multiple ages (12-72). Rising through the ranks quickly and becoming the Head Personal Trainer there Tiffin University contacted me and wanted me to start working with a few of their athletic teams. After seeing the constant improvement and the way it was applied on the athletic playing field Tiffin decided to take me on Full Time.
Once at Tiffin University my roles consisted of managing the weight room and the workers and developing weight performance programs to make the teams better. After I develop a program it is also my job to make sure the teams perform the lifts correctly so that no one gets injured and can reap all the benefits from the program. I would have to say I am very fortunate to be doing what I love to do every day and that is being involved in the fitness industry. It takes a certain kind of dedication and structure that I like and having adapted in all aspects of life. I hope in future endeavors to always have a passion for what I do otherwise why do it.
